Well, La Roca has finished their pre-season as this week leads into the the first game of the season against the very highly regarded selective team of RCD Espanyol. However the pre-season has been very solid for La Roca who have been undefeated in 6 games including 2 games against open women, 1 against an international team and 3 games against local U19 teams. They won 4 games and had 2 draws, scored 21 goals and had 8 goals scored against. And aside from one player having her ACL reconstruction fail, all players were available for all the minutes of training and games. La Roca have had nearly the ideal preparation which will hopefully carry over into the season.
Natasha played nearly all the minutes of all the games in her usual defensive midfield position scoring 3 goals, 1 assist and 13 key passes and averaging over 50 posessions per game. She has been key in helping to settle and stabilize the team and controlling the middle of the ground. She has lifted 180kg in a single leg partial squat, 50kg single leg knee extension and improved her speed and agility significantly. Everything points to another solid season for her.
